This medication is used for rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and inflammatory diseases around the scapula-humeral area. It is also effective for relieving pain from dental pain or post-traumatic inflammation, as well as back pain and sciatica. It helps with pain caused by non-articular rheumatism. In summary, it is used to improve various types of arthritis and musculoskeletal pain.
As aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice daily every 12 hours. This medication should be taken whole, without chewing or crushing. Adjust the dosage appropriately according to symptoms. To minimize cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be administered at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
This medication carries a risk of gastrointestinal bleeding for individuals who regularly consume more than three drinks a day, thus consultation with a physician or pharmacist is required. This drug can affect the cardiovascular and cerebrovascular systems, so it should be used with caution in patients with risk factors such as heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, and smoking, and taken at the minimum effective dose possible for the shortest duration. Serious gastrointestinal side effects, such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation, may occur; therefore, caution is especially needed for the elderly or patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Patients with active peptic ulcers or bleeding, allergies to this medication or similar drugs, asthma, heart failure, or severe kidney and liver disorders should not take this medication. Patients with kidney disorders, heart failure, hypertension, the elderly, and those with a history of asthma require strict observation and care from a physician when using this medication. This drug may cause various side effects, including dizziness, gastrointestinal disturbances, abnormal liver enzyme levels, and skin rashes. Therefore, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is needed if any unusual symptoms occur. This medication may interact with other drugs, especially anticoagulants, diuretics, antihypertensives, and antidiabetic medications, so it is essential to consult a physician if taking these. During pregnancy, particularly in the last three months, it should be avoided as it may pose risks to the fetus, and caution is necessary if breastfeeding as this medication may be excreted in breast milk. Safety and efficacy for children and adolescents have not been established, and use is not recommended. Elderly patients are at higher risk of gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, so special caution is needed during administration. In case of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, low blood pressure, respiratory depression, and convulsions may occur, requiring immediate medical attention.
