Precautions

This medication, composed of sodium alginate, reacts with gastric acid to form a gel in the stomach, which helps alleviate gastric acid reflux. Digestive symptoms such as diarrhea or constipation may occur during treatment; therefore, if these symptoms are severe or persistent, it is crucial to stop taking the medication immediately and consult a doctor or dentist. When consulting, bringing the package insert of this medication can help with accurate diagnosis and prescription. Additionally, if there is a deficiency in gastric acid, this medication may not form the gel, which can reduce its efficacy; therefore, individuals with hypochlorhydria should consult with healthcare providers before taking it.
