This medication is used for patients who require the combined administration of telmisartan and rosuvastatin. Telmisartan is primarily used to treat essential hypertension and reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease, particularly in high-risk patients aged 55 and older, reducing the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and cardiovascular death. Rosuvastatin is used as an adjunct to diet for treating hypercholesterolemia and hyperlipidemia, delaying atherosclerosis and reducing the risk of cardiovascular disease and stroke in high-risk groups. Thus, these two medications help improve cardiovascular health by managing blood pressure and blood lipids simultaneously.
