This medication is used in conjunction with diet and exercise to help control blood sugar in patients with type 2 diabetes. It may be administered alone if blood sugar control is insufficient, or in combination with metformin. Additionally, it can be used as an add-on therapy when existing treatments with sulfonylureas, metformin, thiazolidinediones, or insulin, whether alone or in combination, are not sufficiently effective. This medication aids in improving blood sugar control in conjunction with various treatment methods.

How to take

Precautions
