Ekain Cream (Lidocaine)

Adult dosage

Apply 0.25-0.66 grams (23-62 milligrams of lidocaine) as an ointment 5-15 minutes before intercourse. The dosage and application time depend on the individual and should use the minimum effective dose. Do not exceed a total administration of 2 grams (184 milligrams of lidocaine) within 24 hours.

This medication should not be used by individuals with hypersensitivity to amide-type local anesthetics. It is also advisable not to use this medication if there are wounds or inflammation in the application area. It is safe not to use this medication during pregnancy. Patients with liver or kidney disease should exercise caution when using this medication. Additionally, caution should be taken when using this medication in individuals allergic or hypersensitive to propylene glycol, which is included in this formulation. If a rash or irritation occurs while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician if the symptoms persist. Long-term use for more than three months without a physician's instruction should be avoided. This medication is a topical agent for application to the skin only and should not be applied to mucous membranes such as the eyes or nose. Also, do not spray continuously on the same area for more than 3 seconds. This medication should be kept out of the reach of children and infants, and it should be stored away from high temperatures above 40 degrees Celsius, excessively low temperatures, and direct sunlight. After use, do not dispose of it in fire.

Mild side effects

This medication may be sensitive to air or moisture, so it should be stored in a tightly sealed container. It is recommended to maintain the storage temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius to prolong the therapeutic effect of the medication.
