This medication is used to relieve discomfort caused by excess stomach acid, heartburn, and symptoms such as belching.
For those 16 years and older, take 1 tablet (75 mg) once, up to a maximum of 2 tablets (150 mg) per day.
This medication should not be taken by anyone who has had an allergic reaction to any of its components. If you have difficulty swallowing food or experience pain while swallowing, or if you are vomiting blood or have blood in your stool, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than 3 months, or are accompanied by dizziness, cold sweats, or light-headedness, you should seek professional advice. If you experience chest or shoulder pain with difficulty breathing, or if you frequently have chest pain, it is essential to consult with a healthcare professional before taking this medication. If you experience unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain, you should consult a professional immediately. Patients taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs or with a history of drug allergies should consult before taking this medication. Patients with kidney or liver impairment, elderly patients, or those with a history of acute porphyria should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should consult a doctor before taking this medication, as it may pass through the placenta or be transferred via breast milk. This medication may interact with other medications and can affect the efficacy or side effects of some drugs, so you must inform your healthcare professional of any other medications you are taking. If symptoms do not improve or worsen while taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a healthcare professional, and it should not be taken for more than 14 days. If serious side effects such as hives, rash, difficulty breathing, blood disorders, liver dysfunction, heart problems, gastrointestinal symptoms, nervous system issues, muscle pain, or skin rashes appear, you must stop taking this medication immediately and consult a doctor. This medication may hide symptoms of stomach cancer, so it should only be used temporarily for symptom relief purposes. Taking it with high doses of certain preparations may decrease the absorption, so you should ensure proper intervals between doses. In case of overdose, prompt treatment for vomiting, gastric lavage, and, in some cases, dialysis may be required. You should not take this medication with alcohol-containing beverages, and consult your healthcare professional if there are any changes in your condition after taking it. Particularly, elderly patients or those with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immune systems should be cautious as they may have an increased risk of pneumonia. This medication may affect the results of certain tests, so it is best to inform the healthcare professional about its use prior to testing. Keep this medication out of the reach of children, and store it tightly closed in its original container to maintain its quality.
