This medicine is primarily used for rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis (degenerative joint disease), ankylosing spondylitis, tendinitis (tendonitis), acute gout, and dysmenorrhea. It is also effective for bursitis and skeletal muscle disorders (sprains, strains, trauma, lumbago), postoperative pain, migraines, and pain after tooth extraction. This medication helps improve various joint and muscle-related diseases and pain.

How to take

Adult dose

Rheumatoid arthritis, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis: Administer 250–500 mg of naproxen orally twice a day (every 12 hours). Acute gout: Administer an initial dose of 750 mg orally and subsequently 250 mg orally at 8-hour intervals until the attack subsides. Skeletal muscle disorders, postoperative pain, pain after tooth extraction, dysmenorrhea, tendinitis, bursitis: Administer an initial dose of 500 mg orally, then 250 mg every 6–8 hours.

Precautions

This medication may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding in patients who regularly consume more than three alcoholic beverages per day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist.
