This medication is used for patients who need to take two medicines, telmisartan and rosuvastatin, simultaneously. Telmisartan primarily controls essential hypertension and helps reduce the risk of myocardial infarction, stroke, and death due to cardiovascular diseases in patients at high risk. Rosuvastatin is used in conjunction with a diet to lower cholesterol levels in patients with hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia and delays the progression of atherosclerosis. Moreover, it is also effective in reducing the risk of stroke and myocardial infarction in patients with high-risk cardiovascular diseases. The combination of these two medications is used to improve blood pressure and blood lipid management simultaneously in patients at high risk for cardiovascular diseases.
