Patients with allergies to any of the main ingredients or similar class medications, women who are pregnant or nursing, patients with severe liver dysfunction, severe aortic stenosis, obstructive biliary disease, patients on dialysis, those in shock, and certain diabetic patients should not take this medication. When this drug is initially administered to patients who are depleted of fluids or salts, it may cause a significant drop in blood pressure, so careful monitoring of the patient's condition is required, and appropriate measures should be taken if necessary. Acute hypotension may occur after taking this medication due to vasodilation, so patients with severe aortic stenosis should use caution. Use this medication cautiously in patients with severe heart disease or congestive heart failure, and those with impaired renal function should also be careful. Side effects such as dizziness, headaches, low blood pressure, cough, digestive disorders, skin rashes, etc., might occur. If unusual symptoms appear, consult a doctor. In particular, women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should switch to other established safe antihypertensives, and if this drug was taken during pregnancy, tests are needed to check for any fetal abnormalities. Breastfeeding women are advised to discontinue breastfeeding or stop taking the medication since it may be transmitted through breast milk. Safety and efficacy have not been established for children or adolescents, so it is not recommended for them. In elderly patients, dose adjustments should be made considering the decline of liver and kidney functions, and they should take it cautiously. In case of overdose, symptoms may appear due to low blood pressure and excessive vasodilation, requiring immediate medical attention, and blood pressure and heart function should be closely monitored. Taking this medication with grapefruit juice may increase its blood pressure-lowering effect; therefore, it is advisable to avoid it, and interactions with other drugs should be discussed with a physician or pharmacist.
