When sputum discharge is difficult, it may be related to acute or chronic bronchitis, bronchial asthma, laryngitis, sinusitis, and cystic fibrosis. In these conditions, inflammation occurs in the bronchial and respiratory mucosa or mucus secretion increases, making it difficult to discharge sputum, leading to breathing difficulties.
