This medication should not be used in patients with a known allergy to any of its components or a history of hypersensitivity. Caution should be taken, especially in those allergic to benzimidazole derivatives, penicillins, or macrolide antibiotics. In addition, patients taking certain heart-related medications or antiviral drugs, those with a history of myocardial infarction, and nursing mothers should avoid using this medication. This medication contains a pigment called Yellow No. 5 (Tartrazine), so those allergic to this component should use it cautiously. Rarely, various side effects such as blood abnormalities, allergic reactions, gastrointestinal disorders, nervous system symptoms, liver function abnormalities, and skin rashes can occur during treatment, and if any symptoms occur, immediate consultation with healthcare providers is necessary. Regular examinations are needed during long-term use, especially if taken for more than one year, due to the possibility of side effects like hypomagnesemia or increased fracture risk. Since this medication suppresses gastric acid secretion, it may promote bacterial growth in the stomach, so if diarrhea persists, healthcare providers should be informed. Safety data during pregnancy is limited, so it should be used only after consulting a physician, and it is recommended to avoid its use while breastfeeding.
