Improvement of blood pressure control in essential hypertension
This medication is used for patients with essential hypertension whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine or valsartan. It effectively lowers blood pressure and helps reduce the risk of cardiovascular complications.
The recommended dosage for this medication is 1 tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time each day (e.g., in the morning). Select and administer based on blood pressure control: 5/80 mg, 5/160 mg, 10/160 mg. In kidney impairment, severe renal impairment and dialysis patients are not to be administered this medication. Hepatic impairment patients should receive valsartan at a daily dose not exceeding 80 mg.
The safety and efficacy of this medication for pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established; therefore, its use is not recommended.
This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. Therefore, it should be discontinued immediately if pregnancy is confirmed. Individuals with allergies to the active ingredients of this drug or similar drugs, pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers should not use this medication. Patients with severely impaired renal or hepatic function, those with specific heart diseases or vascular-related conditions should also avoid using this drug. Patients with a deficiency of fluids or sodium in the body should stabilize their condition before taking this medication, and blood pressure and condition should be closely monitored during treatment. Patients with high potassium levels need to be cautious when taking this medication along with potassium-containing drugs or supplements, and should have their potassium levels checked frequently. Patients with renal vascular issues may be affected in their kidney function while taking this medication, so regular check-ups are necessary. Patients with heart failure or those who have had a myocardial infarction should closely monitor changes in kidney function and blood pressure while on this medication, and may need dosage adjustments as warranted. This medication may rarely cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, swelling, hypotension, and skin rash. If symptoms are severe, consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery due to possible dizziness or fatigue. There may be interactions when taken alongside other antihypertensive drugs or certain medications, so it is crucial to inform healthcare professionals about any medications being taken. It is recommended that pregnant or nursing women avoid using this medication and consult healthcare professionals if planning for pregnancy. The safety of this drug for children has not been sufficiently established, hence it is not advisable for use in individuals under 18 years of age. In cases of overdose, severe hypotension or cardiac issues may occur, so it is essential to adhere to prescribed dosages and seek immediate medical attention if any unusual symptoms arise.
Hives, severe swelling (edema), angioedema, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweats, paleness, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, mucosal pain in mouth/eyes, shortness of breath, asthma attack, abnormal breathing with coughing and fever, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), extreme lethargy, sudden and severe headache, lightning-like headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, and drastic decrease in urine output.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. It is advisable to maintain storage temperatures between 1 degree and 30 degrees Celsius.
