Adult dose

The recommended dosage of this medication is 1 tablet once daily, to be taken with water, regardless of meals. It is advised to take it at the same time every day (e.g., in the morning). If blood pressure is not controlled with monotherapy of individual components (amlodipine or valsartan), administration can be made as follows: ㆍ5/80 milligrams: For patients not controlled with monotherapy of amlodipine 5 milligrams or valsartan 80 milligrams. ㆍ5/160

Child dose

The safety and efficacy of this drug in pediatric patients under the age of 18 have not been established, therefore its use is not recommended.

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn if taken during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, and should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. People with allergies to this medication or similar drugs, pregnant or nursing women, patients with severe renal or hepatic impairment, or those with specific heart diseases should not take this medication. Patients with depleted sodium or fluid levels may experience hypotension, so they should correct their condition before taking it, and blood pressure and status should be closely monitored during treatment. Frequent checks on potassium levels are necessary for patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that may increase potassium. Patients with renal vascular issues or those who have recently undergone a kidney transplant should use this medication cautiously as it may affect renal function. If symptoms of angioedema occur, discontinue use immediately and do not re-administer. Patients with heart failure or those recovering from a myocardial infarction should also closely monitor renal function and condition while taking this medication. This medication may cause dizziness or fatigue while driving or operating machinery, so caution is advised. Various side effects such as hypotension, changes in blood test results, liver dysfunction, or allergic reactions may occur during treatment; if any abnormal symptoms arise, consult a doctor immediately. Additionally, interactions with other medications may be possible, so inform healthcare professionals of any other medications being taken, especially potassium supplements, diuretics, NSAIDs, and certain antibiotics. This medication is not recommended for children under 18 years of age, as its safety and efficacy have not been sufficiently established. Overdose may result in severe hypotension or cardiovascular side effects, so strictly adhere to the prescribed dosage, and if an overdose is suspected, seek immediate medical attention.

Serious side effects

• Urticaria, severe swelling (angioedema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe allergic reactions
• Severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain in oral/ocular mucosa, severe skin adverse reactions
• Difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, asthma attacks, respiratory issues accompanied by cough and fever
• Yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), profound malaise, liver dysfunction (jaundice)
• Sudden and very severe headache

This medication must be stored in an airtight container to protect it from air and moisture. A storage temperature of between 1 and 30 degrees Celsius is suitable. Proper storage will help maintain the medication's efficacy over time.
