This medication is used to effectively treat essential hypertension in cases where blood pressure is not adequately controlled by monotherapy with amlodipine or valsartan.

How to take

Adult dose

The recommended dose of this medication is one tablet once daily, taken with water regardless of meals. It is advisable to take it at the same time each day (e.g. morning). Dose adjustment and caution are required for patients with renal impairment, liver dysfunction, and elderly patients over 65 years of age.

Child dose

The safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been established, and its use is not recommended.

Precautions

This medication should not be used during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, as it can cause serious harm to the fetus and newborn. If pregnancy is confirmed, discontinue use immediately. Patients with allergies to this medication's active ingredients or similar medications, pregnant or breastfeeding women, and patients with severe renal or liver dysfunction should not take this medication. Patients with low sodium or fluid levels should correct their condition before taking this medication, and if symptoms of low blood pressure appear during treatment, they should lie down and receive intravenous treatment if necessary. Patients with high potassium levels or those taking medications that increase potassium levels should have their potassium levels monitored frequently and exercise caution. Patients with issues in renal vasculature or those who have recently undergone kidney transplantation should have their renal function closely monitored while using this medication and should discontinue use immediately if symptoms of angioedema occur. Patients with heart failure or those with a history of myocardial infarction should carefully monitor any changes in renal function while using this medication and require special caution if they have a history of angina or acute myocardial infarction. This medication may cause side effects such as headache, dizziness, swelling, low blood pressure, cough, diarrhea, rash in some patients; if unusual symptoms persist, consult a physician. Caution is advised when driving or operating machinery, as dizziness or fatigue may occur, especially when first starting or changing doses of the medication. Interactions may occur when taking this medication with other antihypertensives, diuretics, potassium supplements, or non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), so be sure to inform your physician about all medications you're taking. Women who are pregnant or planning to become pregnant should not take this medication, nor is its use recommended for breastfeeding women. Safety and efficacy in pediatric patients under 18 years of age have not been sufficiently established, and its use is not recommended. In case of overdose, serious hypotension or heart-related issues may occur, so it is crucial to adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and visit a medical institution immediately if an overdose is suspected.

Urticaria, severe swelling, chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with fever, blisters, skin peeling, oral/ocular mucosal pain, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attacks, respiratory distress accompanied by cough and fever, jaundice, profound lethargy, sudden and severe headache, thunderclap headache, seizures, altered consciousness, visual disturbances, paralysis, significant reduction in urine output, and others.
