This medication alleviates uncomfortable symptoms caused by excessive stomach acid through its antacid action, addressing representative digestive system diseases such as gastric and duodenal ulcers and gastritis. It is also effective in improving digestive symptoms like heartburn, nausea, vomiting, stomach pain, and belching. By using this medication, it can protect the gastric mucosa and soothe symptoms to maintain comfortable digestive health. Therefore, it is beneficial for the relief of various symptoms related to gastrointestinal diseases and is used to aid digestive function.
Almagate 1 g per dose, 3 times a day, chewed and taken orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
Children aged 12 and older should take almagate as 1 g per dose, 3 times a day, chewed and taken orally 30 minutes to 1 hour after meals. An additional dose may be taken before bedtime if necessary.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who are allergic to this medication or its ingredients. Patients suffering from Alzheimer's disease, those with hemorrhoids, patients who have body swelling, individuals with pregnancy hypertension, those experiencing diarrhea, and patients with unexplained bleeding in the digestive system should not take this medication. During the course of taking this medication, it is advisable not to take it along with tetracycline antibiotics as it may interfere with the absorption of the drug. If you are taking any other medications, this medication may affect the absorption or excretion of other drugs, so it should be taken cautiously after consulting a doctor or pharmacist. In particular, it is necessary to space out the administration of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digitalis preparations, certain antibiotics, and iron supplements by 2 to 3 hours. Patients with poor kidney function should avoid taking this medication due to the risk of magnesium or aluminum accumulating in the body. People who are weak or have deficiency in dietary phosphorus and those with absorption disorders should be cautious as this medication’s ingredients may interfere with phosphorus absorption and affect bone health. Elderly patients and those with gastrointestinal bleeding symptoms, women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, or nursing mothers must consult a professional before taking this medication. If constipation or diarrhea occurs, or if symptoms do not improve for more than two weeks, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. It is essential to adhere to the prescribed dosage and administration guidelines, and when given to children, it should be done under the supervision of a guardian. This medication should be stored out of reach of children and not transferred from its original container to another one for safety. Furthermore, it is helpful to store it away from direct sunlight and in a cool, dry place to maintain the quality of the medication.
Constipation, diarrhea, possible decrease in serum phosphate levels and mineralization disorders in bones

Do not take this medication with tetracycline antibiotics. Consult a doctor or pharmacist when taking it with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, ulcer treatments, digitalis preparations, chlorpromazine, lansoprazole, prednisolone, penicillin, quinolone, iron (Fe) salt preparations, and salicylates.
This medication should be stored in a sealed container to prevent air ingress and kept at room temperature between 1 degree and 30 degrees. Storing it this way can help preserve the medication's effectiveness for a long time.
