Antipyretic effect for fever due to acute upper respiratory infection
This medication is used to lower fever caused by acute upper respiratory infection.
For children over 6 months: administer 0.4-0.6 mL/kg (5-7 mg/kg of Dexibuprofen) as needed every 4-6 hours, not exceeding a maximum of 4 doses per day (28 mg/kg).
This medication should be consulted with a doctor or pharmacist if you often consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, due to the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding associated with its use. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular issues such as myocardial infarction and stroke for individuals with heart or vascular problems or risk factors. Therefore, those with a history of cardiovascular diseases or risk factors should carefully observe symptoms when taking this medication. Serious issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation may occur with this medication. Elderly individuals or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should be particularly cautious, and if any gastrointestinal symptoms arise during use, immediate consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. Individuals with a history of peptic ulcers, severe liver or kidney dysfunction, severe heart failure, severe hypertension, or allergies to any ingredients in this medication should not take it. Those with a history of peptic ulcers or blood disorders, liver or kidney impairment should be especially careful when using this medication, and consult with a healthcare professional as necessary. While taking this medication, rare side effects such as blood disorders, skin rashes, liver function abnormalities, kidney function decline, and asthma attacks may occur. If any abnormal symptoms appear, discontinue use and consult a doctor immediately. It is advisable to take this medication at the minimum dose for the shortest duration possible. Those on long-term treatment should have regular blood tests and liver and kidney function tests. This medication should be used in combination with appropriate antibiotics during the treatment of infections; using it alone may mask infection symptoms. This medication can exacerbate hypertension, so patients with hypertension should regularly check their blood pressure before and after taking it. Pregnant women, especially in the later stages, should avoid using this medication, and postpartum administration may affect fetal kidney function; thus, consult with a healthcare professional. Lactating women should stop breastfeeding or discontinue use of this medication, as it may transfer to breast milk and cause side effects in infants. Children and elderly individuals may experience side effects more easily when taking this medication and should exercise extra caution. Caution is advised when used in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, diuretics, and antihypertensive drugs; inform your healthcare professional before use. In the case of overdose, seek emergency treatment immediately through gastric lavage or inducing vomiting. This medication should be kept out of reach of children and should not be transferred to other containers.
Urticaria, severe swelling (edema), chest tightness, difficulty breathing, cold sweat, pallor, severe rash with high fever, blisters, skin peeling, pain of oral/ocular mucosa, shortness of breath or difficulty breathing, asthma attack, cough + fever accompanied respiratory distress, yellowing of skin or eyes (jaundice), severe malaise, sudden and severe headache, lightning-like headache, seizures, confusion, visual disturbances, paralysis, urination changes.
Nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, dyspepsia, diarrhea, upper abdominal discomfort, thirst, stomatitis, abdominal distension, constipation, restlessness, facial swelling, dyspepsia, itching, low blood pressure, high blood pressure, palpitations, hearing loss, tinnitus, taste disturbances, visual disturbances such as blurred vision, lethargy, fever, nosebleeds, thrombocytopenia, impaired platelet function, eosinophilia, rash, eczema, purpura, urticaria, aseptic meningitis, bloody stools, gastritis, pancreatitis, orbital pain.
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
This medication should not be used in conjunction with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, aspirin, or high doses of methotrexate. Additionally, consult a doctor or pharmacist when using it alongside glucocorticoids, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, diuretics, and antihypertensive agents, ACE inhibitors, furosemide, lithium, low doses of methotrexate, or coumarin anticoagulants (such as warfarin).
Caution is advised when using this medication with alcohol.
This medication is light-sensitive and should be kept in a container that does not allow light to enter. Additionally, it should be stored at room temperature between 15 and 25 degrees Celsius to maintain its effectiveness.
