Treatment for improvement of dementia-related symptoms like tinnitus and headaches
This medication is used to treat organic brain dysfunction accompanied by dementia-related symptoms such as tinnitus (ear ringing), headaches, memory loss, concentration difficulties, feelings of depression, and dizziness.
For organic brain dysfunction: Administer 1 capsule (120 mg) of Ginkgo Leaf Extract orally, twice a day. Adjust dosage appropriately based on age and symptoms.
This medication should not be taken by certain individuals. First, patients who have had an allergic reaction to this medication should avoid its use. Additionally, it is recommended that children under 12 years of age do not take this medication due to insufficient experience with its use. Pregnant women should also consider carefully before taking this medication, as while there have been no abnormalities noted in animal studies, there is a lack of sufficient data on its safety during pregnancy. Individuals allergic to soybean oil, soy, or peanuts should not take this medication. Patients with bleeding disorders or those taking anticoagulant medications should consult with a doctor or pharmacist before using this medication. Nursing mothers should also consult with a specialist, as it is not clear whether this medication passes into breast milk. Patients with issues related to lipid metabolism or diseases such as hyperlipidemia, diabetic hyperlipidemia, or pancreatitis should use this medication cautiously. If a patient is about to undergo surgery, or if symptoms do not improve or worsen after taking the medication for more than three months, they should stop using the medication immediately and consult with a specialist. This medication may occasionally cause side effects such as gastrointestinal discomfort, headaches, and allergic skin reactions. Rarely, dizziness or itching may occur, and serious allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis have also been reported, so caution is advised. Patients at risk of lipid overload are recommended to check their blood lipid levels while using this medication. If lipid excretion is inadequate, the dosage of the medication should be adjusted. Additionally, if used in conjunction with other lipid injectable products, the amount of fat contained in this medication should be considered to reduce the dosage of the injectables. This medication is not for the treatment of hypertension, so patients with high blood pressure require separate treatment. Finally, this medication should be kept out of reach of children and stored with the cap tightly closed in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
Anaphylaxis or anaphylactic reactions
Not everyone experiences these, and they can vary from person to person.
