This medication is used for chronic polyarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, as well as joint-related conditions such as arthrosis and ankylosing spondylitis. It also helps relieve painful swelling or inflammation occurring after trauma or surgery. It plays a supportive role in the treatment of infections accompanied by inflammation, pain, and fever. It is effectively used to alleviate these various symptoms and conditions.

Dosage and Administration

Adult dosage

Administer dexibuprofen at a dose of 300 mg orally 2 to 4 times daily. However, do not exceed 1,200 mg of dexibuprofen in a day.

Precautions

This medication may cause gastrointestinal bleeding in individuals who regularly consume more than three alcoholic drinks a day, so it is essential to consult a doctor or pharmacist. It may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, so caution is needed for patients with cardiovascular diseases or risk factors. Serious issues such as gastrointestinal bleeding, ulcers, or perforation may occur, so elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases should use it carefully. Patients with gastric ulcers, bleeding, or severe liver, kidney, or heart diseases should not take this medication. Taking this medication in conjunction with aspirin or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs may increase the risk of gastrointestinal bleeding, so this combination should be avoided. While taking this medication, it is advisable to discontinue breastfeeding or stop the drug administration, and caution is necessary when driving or operating machinery due to potential dizziness or fatigue. Interactions

Drug interactions

Do not take this medication with aspirin. Do not combine with other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Avoid taking with high-dose methotrexate (over 15 mg/week) used in chemotherapy. Corticosteroids, alcohol, digoxin, phenytoin, probenecid, sulfinpyrazone, sulfonylureas, ACE inhibitors, angiotensin II receptor antagonists, diuretics, lithium, and coumarin anticoagulants.

This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to avoid exposure to air or moisture. Additionally, avoid storing in extremely hot or cold places, and it is best to keep it at room temperature between 1°C and 30°C.
