Relief of moderate to severe acute and chronic pain
This medication is used to relieve acute and chronic pain that ranges from moderate to severe.
It is recommended to administer an initial dose of 4 tablets, and thereafter the dosing interval should be at least 6 hours, not exceeding a total of 16 tablets per day. The effective minimum dose should be administered for the shortest duration possible. Elderly patients typically receive the standard adult dosage, but for those over 75 years old, doses should be given at intervals of at least 6 hours. For moderate renal impairment, the dosing interval should be extended to 12 hours.
Children aged 12 and over should have their dosage adjusted based on the level of pain and therapeutic response, starting with an initial dose of 4 tablets, and then at least 6 hours apart, not exceeding a total of 16 tablets per day.
This medication can burden the liver, so individuals who consume alcohol above a certain amount daily should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. If any abnormal symptoms such as rash or itching occur after taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult medical personnel. The components of this medication may induce seizures, so patients with a history of seizures or those at high risk for seizures should be particularly careful. Patients with severe respiratory diseases may experience more difficulty breathing while taking this medication, so it should be used under medical supervision. When taken with alcohol or certain sedatives, this medication can lead to serious side effects such as severe drowsiness or respiratory depression, hence co-administration should be avoided. Patients with head injuries or brain diseases may have risks such as confusion when taking this medication, so it should be avoided. This medication may cause dependency; hence regular evaluation by a doctor is required during long-term use and abrupt discontinuation can trigger withdrawal symptoms. Patients with reduced liver or kidney function require dosage adjustments for this medication, so they must follow a doctor's instructions. The medication should not be administered to children, particularly those under 12 years of age or adolescents under 18 following certain surgeries. Pregnant or nursing women should consult a healthcare professional before using this medication, particularly since it may affect the baby during breastfeeding. This medication can cause drowsiness or dizziness; caution should be exercised when driving or operating machinery. In case of overdose, serious respiratory depression or liver damage can occur, so adhere to recommended dosages and do not increase the dosage without a doctor's instructions.
