It is safer for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers to avoid taking this medication. It should not be used in infants under 1 year of age and it is recommended to administer in liquid form rather than tablets for children under 6 years of age. Drowsiness or fatigue may occur after taking the medication, so caution is advised during activities requiring concentration such as driving or operating machinery.
