This medication is used in the treatment of symptoms of Alzheimer's type dementia.

How to take

Adult dose

As Donepezil Hydrochloride, administer 5 mg once daily before bedtime. Administer 5 mg for 4-6 weeks and evaluate clinical response before increasing to 10 mg. When increasing to 10 mg daily, administer with caution for gastrointestinal adverse effects. If in oral disintegrating form, place on the tongue to dissolve for administration with or without water.

Child dose

There is no experience in using this medication in children.
