Relief of excessive stomach acid and heartburn
This medication is used to relieve gastrointestinal symptoms, such as excessive stomach acid, heartburn, and belching.
For individuals aged 16 years and older, take 1 tablet (75 mg) at a time, up to 2 tablets (150 mg) per day.
This medication should not be taken by individuals who have previously experienced allergic reactions to its components. If you have difficulty swallowing food, pain when swallowing, or experience hematemesis or bloody stools, you must consult a doctor or pharmacist. If heartburn symptoms persist for more than three months or are accompanied by dizziness, cold sweats, or lightheadedness, you should also consult a professional. If you experience pain in your chest or shoulders with shortness of breath, or frequent episodes of chest pain, you need to consult before taking this medication. If you notice unexpected weight loss, nausea, vomiting, or abdominal pain, consult a doctor or pharmacist. Individuals taking non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs, those who have experienced allergic reactions to medications in the past, patients with kidney or liver function issues, the elderly, and those with a history of acute porphyria should consult a professional before taking this medication. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult a doctor before use, as this medication can cross the placenta and its safety has not been established. Nursing mothers should exercise caution, as this medication may be transmitted through breast milk. Moreover, this medication can affect the absorption, metabolism, and excretion of other drugs, so dose adjustment or discontinuation may be necessary depending on the co-administered medications. If symptoms persist or worsen while taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and consult a professional, and it should not be taken for more than 14 days continuously. If serious side effects such as rash, hives, difficulty breathing, blood abnormalities, liver dysfunction, heart problems, gastrointestinal symptoms, neurological issues, or skin changes occur after taking this medication, you should stop taking it immediately and seek medical attention. This medication may mask the symptoms of stomach cancer and should only be used temporarily for symptom relief. When taken with certain high doses of specific medications, absorption may be reduced, so it is advisable to space out the times of administration. In case of overdose, appropriate treatment such as vomiting, gastric lavage, and possibly hemodialysis may be necessary. You should not take this medication with alcoholic beverages, and if any changes in bodily functions occur after use, consult a professional. The risk of pneumonia may increase in the elderly or in patients with chronic lung disease, diabetes, or weakened immune systems. Be advised that this medication may yield false positive results in some tests. Store this medication out of reach of children and in its original container with the lid tightly closed.
