This medicine is used for the prevention and treatment of Vitamin B1 deficiency. It is also used for supplementation when the requirement for Vitamin B1 is increased, making it difficult to obtain sufficient amounts through diet (e.g., during wasting diseases, hyperthyroidism, pregnancy and lactation, and intense physical labor). Additionally, it is helpful in treating conditions such as Wernicke's encephalopathy and beriberi heart disease. It is used for various symptoms involving Vitamin B1 deficiency or metabolic disorders such as neuralgia, myalgia, arthralgia, peripheral neuropathy and paralysis, myocardial metabolic disorders, gastrointestinal motility dysfunctions such as constipation, and postoperative intestinal paralysis. However, care should be taken not to use it unnecessarily for more than a month if no effect is observed. It is used to improve various diseases and symptoms related to Vitamin B1 deficiency.
