How it is given

Adult administration

For adults, one syringe is administered once a week for three consecutive weeks into the knee joint or shoulder joint. The number of administrations can be adjusted according to symptoms.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients who have experienced allergic reactions to its components. Caution is especially warranted in patients with allergies to other medications, liver function problems, or skin diseases or infections at the injection site. Severe allergic reactions, such as shock, may occur when using this medication, so patients should be closely monitored. If any abnormal symptoms arise, administration should be stopped immediately, and appropriate treatment should be initiated. Also, hypersensitivity symptoms such as swelling around the face or eyes, rash, and itching may appear, and if these symptoms occur, the use of the drug should be stopped, and treatment should be sought. Temporary pain, swelling, redness, or warmth may occur at the injection site, so rest should be taken when such symptoms arise. As this medication is injected directly into the joint, it is safer to use it after inflammation subsides if there is severe infection or inflammation at the injection site. It is important to inject accurately into the joint, as leakage of the medication outside the joint may cause pain. The injection should be performed in a clean environment under sterile conditions, and if symptoms do not improve after three administrations, the treatment should be discontinued. If there is excessive synovial fluid, it may be necessary to remove the fluid before injection. This medication should not be used for intravenous injection or ophthalmic use, and it is appropriate to use a needle gauge of 22-23. Caution should be taken as the drug may precipitate when used with certain disinfectants. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should carefully consider the benefits and risks when using this medication, and nursing mothers should avoid breastfeeding during the use of this medication. Safety has not been sufficiently confirmed in children, so it should be used cautiously and only when absolutely necessary.
