Precautions

This medication can cause serious harm to the fetus if taken during pregnancy, especially in the second and third trimesters, so it should be discontinued immediately upon confirmation of pregnancy. This medication should not be used in patients with allergies to this medication or its components, severely impaired kidney function, and certain electrolyte imbalances. Patients with hypotension, kidney disease, liver disease, gout, and diabetes need special caution when using this medication, especially elderly patients or those with a history of certain skin cancers. During the use of this medication, side effects such as dizziness, fatigue, cough, and skin rash may occur, and if unusual symptoms arise, consultation with healthcare professionals is necessary. This medication lowers blood pressure, so dizziness or drowsiness may occur upon first use or when increasing the dose, requiring caution, especially when driving or operating machinery. Interactions may occur when taken with other medications, so patients must inform healthcare professionals if they are taking other medications. Since this medication may be dangerous to the fetus during pregnancy, those planning to become pregnant or who are pregnant should consult a physician, as should breastfeeding mothers before use. Safety and efficacy have not been established in children and adolescents, so it is not used in these populations. Overdosage can cause hypotension or cardiac arrhythmias, so prescribed doses must be strictly followed, and if adverse symptoms appear, healthcare professionals must be notified immediately. This medication should be stored in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight, and it is safer to keep it in its original container.
