Decongestant effect
This medication is used to relieve congestion caused by various respiratory conditions such as colds, sinusitis, and upper respiratory allergies.
Adults and those aged 12 years and older: Take 30 to 60 mg of pseudoephedrine hydrochloride orally, 3 to 4 times a day. The maximum daily dose is 240 mg. The total daily dose should not exceed 4 doses, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between doses. Adjust according to age and symptoms.
Ages 6 years to 11 years: Take 30 mg of this medication orally, 3 to 4 times a day. The total daily dose should not exceed 4 doses, with a minimum interval of 4 hours between doses.
This medication may cause severe skin reactions such as serious rash or small blisters, so skin conditions should be carefully monitored during use. Do not take this medication if you are allergic to it or any of its components, and patients with certain diseases such as heart disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, or diabetes should also avoid using it. Women who are pregnant or breastfeeding and patients taking certain medications should consult a physician before using this drug. During use, symptoms such as rapid or irregular heartbeat, headache, dizziness, anxiety, and indigestion may occur. Elderly patients may be more sensitive to the side effects of this drug, so caution is needed when administering it. If symptoms do not improve or if severe headache, abdominal pain, or skin rash occurs, discontinue use immediately and consult with a healthcare professional. Additionally, using this drug with other sympathomimetics or certain anesthetics and antihypertensive medications may increase the risk of side effects, so it should be used only under professional guidance. For pediatric patients under the age of 2, dosing should be guided by a physician, and prescribed dosages and administration schedules must be strictly followed for safety.
