This medicine is used to relieve symptoms caused by allergic reactions and inflammation of the skin, such as urticaria, eczema, and itching.

How to take

Adult dose

Adults and those aged 15 and above: 2 tablets per dose, taken 3 times daily. The dosing interval should be at least 4 hours.

Child dose

Aged 8 to 14 years: 1 tablet per dose, taken 3 times daily. The dosing interval should be at least 4 hours.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by infants under 3 months of age. Individuals who have had allergic reactions to this medication or its components should also avoid using it. Additionally, people who are currently taking or have stopped taking MAO inhibitors, such as certain antidepressants and antipsychotic medications, within the last 2 weeks should not use this medication. This medication contains lactose, and individuals with a genetic disease that impairs lactose digestion should not take it. It is advisable not to take other cold medications, allergy medications, or motion sickness medications that contain antihistamines while using this medication. In particular, medications containing diphenhydramine should be avoided. For children aged 3 months to under 2 years, treatment should be done under a doctor's supervision, and it is best to avoid use unless necessary. Additionally, individuals with allergic constitutions, previous allergic reactions to drugs, hypertension, heart disease, kidney disease, glaucoma, or urinary difficulties should consult a specialist before usage. Elderly individuals, those currently undergoing treatment, and those with persistent or severe coughing should also consult before taking this medication. If any serious symptoms such as urticaria, difficulty breathing, swelling of the face or limbs, elevated blood pressure, or muscle weakness occur while taking this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a healthcare professional. Also, if symptoms such as skin rash, vomiting, loss of appetite, or difficulty urinating appear, or if symptoms do not improve after taking the medication 5 to 6 times, medical attention is needed. Be sure to adhere to the prescribed dosage and duration of treatment, and avoid prolonged use. Caregivers should supervise children closely while taking this medication, as drowsiness may occur, so driving or operating machinery should be avoided. It is also advisable not to consume alcohol at the same time. Furthermore, caution should be taken when combined with medications containing potassium or licorice, as well as certain diuretics, as this may lead to side effects such as muscle weakness. This medication should be stored out of reach of children, protected from direct sunlight, and kept in a cool, dry place. Transferring the medication from its original container to another may degrade its quality and lead to accidents; therefore, it should always be kept in its original container.
