Precautions

This medication may cause allergic reactions such as rashes or itching on the skin; if these symptoms occur, use should be discontinued. Do not mix this medication with other disinfectants. Mixing may reduce the efficacy of the medication or cause problems. When using a catheter washed with this medication for urinalysis, be aware that false positive reactions may occur in specific tests. If this medication gets into the eyes, rinse thoroughly with clean water for more than 15 minutes, and seek appropriate treatment promptly. If this medication is accidentally ingested, rinse the mouth with water, drink water or milk, and do not induce vomiting; seek medical treatment immediately. This medication is for topical use only on the skin, and it is advisable to use a lower concentration on inflamed or sensitive areas. When using on deep wounds or the eyes, always use sterile injectable water or purified water, and do not use regular tap water or purified water. Take care to avoid the concentrated or stock solution entering the eyes, and if it does, rinse immediately with clean water. Concentrated solutions may irritate the skin or mucous membranes, requiring caution during use. Do not use on mucous membranes, wounds, or inflamed areas for prolonged or extensive periods, as this may result in systemic absorption affecting the muscles. Soaps and detergents can weaken this medication's antibacterial effect, so it is important to rinse thoroughly before use. When soaking metal instruments for extended periods, use a sodium nitrite solution to prevent corrosion, and do not soak copper items using this method as it will not prevent corrosion. This medication may darken in color or become cloudy in cold storage, but these changes do not affect its sterilizing effect; the cloudiness will disappear if warmed.
