Precautions

This drug can cause serious harm to the fetus, particularly during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy, so women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take it. It poses risks such as decreased lung formation, skeletal deformities, and reduced kidney function. If pregnancy is confirmed, it should be discontinued immediately. This drug should not be administered to patients with severely impaired liver function or hereditary angioedema. Additionally, patients with lactose intolerance should not take this medication. Caution is advised in elderly patients, those with impaired kidney function, and those with elevated serum potassium levels; regular checks are necessary as blood pressure may drop too low or kidney function may deteriorate. While taking this drug, side effects such as muscle pain, dizziness, headache, dyspepsia, and cough may occur. Rarely, serious side effects such as angioedema, liver dysfunction, and rhabdomyolysis may arise, and any unusual symptoms should be reported to healthcare professionals immediately. Taking this medication with other antihypertensives, potassium-sparing diuretics, or potassium supplements may dangerously elevate potassium levels, requiring consultation with a physician. Caution is warranted when used with non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs as it may reduce efficacy or affect kidney function. Grapefruit juice may decrease the efficacy of this medication, so it is advisable to avoid grapefruit juice during treatment. It is preferable for pregnant and nursing women not to use this medication, and nursing should be discontinued if using this drug. Children, especially those under the age of 6 or those with significantly impaired kidney function, should not use this medication.
