This medicine is used for patients who need to take amlodipine (S-amlodipine) and atorvastatin together. Amlodipine helps treat hypertension and myocardial ischemia caused by stable or variant angina. It also reduces the risk of hospitalization for angina and the need for vascular procedures in patients without heart failure and with an ejection fraction greater than 40%. Atorvastatin reduces the risk of cardiovascular diseases such as myocardial infarction, stroke, and angina, and is effective in improving hypercholesterolemia and dyslipidemia. It particularly reduces the risk of cardiovascular events in high-risk groups for coronary artery disease and diabetic patients, and lowers the risk of hospitalization due to congestive heart failure. This medicine is used to improve cardiovascular health through the complementary actions of the two drugs.
