Local treatment effect for plaque psoriasis
Local treatment of plaque psoriasis is used to apply medication directly to the skin to reduce inflammation and improve scaly skin symptoms. Primarily, drugs such as steroid preparations or vitamin D derivatives are utilized, alleviating symptoms and improving skin condition. This treatment helps relieve inflammation and itching in lesion areas and contributes to skin regeneration, aiding recovery to a healthy skin state. Local treatment of plaque psoriasis plays an important role in effectively controlling symptoms and enhancing the quality of life for patients.
Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once daily. The recommended treatment duration is 4 weeks, and after this period, treatment can be resumed under the supervision of a physician. The maximum dosage is 15 g per day, not exceeding 100 g per week. Body surface area should not exceed 30%.
