If symptoms such as decreased urination, swelling of the face or limbs (edema), increased blood pressure, headaches, or stiff hands occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a professional. The licorice component in this medicine may cause side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, fluid retention, edema, and weight gain when taken for a long time, so serum potassium levels should be checked regularly, and if there are abnormalities, usage should be stopped. Hypokalemia can lead to muscle weakness, cramps, or paralysis, so if these symptoms occur, stop taking the medicine and consult healthcare professionals. Caution is needed when taking this medicine alongside potassium supplements, medications containing licorice, loop or thiazide diuretics due to the increased risk of hypokalemia and myopathy.
