How to use

Precautions

This medication may cause hypersensitivity reactions such as rashes or itching on the skin; if these symptoms occur, use should be discontinued immediately. It should not be mixed with other disinfectants and must be used solely on its own. Laboratory test results for specific protein tests from urine collected through catheters washed with this medication may be incorrect, so this should be taken into consideration during testing. If this medication gets into the eyes, rinse the eyes and eyelids thoroughly with clean water for at least 15 minutes and seek appropriate treatment promptly. If this medication is accidentally swallowed, rinse the mouth thoroughly and drink water or milk, then suppress vomiting and quickly seek medical assistance. This medication is intended for external use only, and should be used at a low concentration on inflamed or easily irritated areas. When using on deep wounds or eyes, it should be diluted with injection-grade water or sterile distilled water, and tap water or distilled water should not be used. Care should be taken to avoid having concentrated solution or stock solution get into the eyes; if it does, rinse immediately with clean water. When using the concentrated solution, skin or mucosal irritation may occur, so caution is advised, and prolonged or extensive use on mucosa or wound areas should be avoided as it may lead to systemic absorption and potentially myasthenia gravis. Soaps may reduce the antimicrobial efficacy of this medication, so they should be cleaned off thoroughly before use. To prevent corrosion when soaking metal instruments for an extended period, solutions containing sodium nitrite should be used, and copper products should not be soaked for long periods due to difficulty preventing corrosion. During storage, this medication may experience some color or consistency changes due to temperature fluctuations, and cloudiness may occur in cold environments; however, these do not affect its sterilizing effectiveness, and if cloudiness occurs, warming it up will restore its transparency.
