Relief of eczema and dermatitis symptoms (such as itching)
This medication is used for inflammatory skin conditions or itching associated with eczema and dermatitis. It also helps relieve skin irritation symptoms caused by insect bites and plants like poison ivy, oak, and sumac. It temporarily alleviates skin irritation from soaps, detergents, cosmetics, and jewelry, as well as itching around the genital area and anus. This medication is used to improve various skin issue symptoms.
(Ointment) (Cream) Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-3 times a day and adjust according to symptoms. (Lotion) Shake well before use and apply an appropriate amount to the affected area 1-3 times a day and adjust according to symptoms.
(Aerosol) Children over 2 years: Shake well before use and spray an appropriate amount on the affected area 1-2 times a day.
This medication should not be used in patients with bacterial, fungal, viral, or animal-related skin infections as symptoms may worsen. Patients who are allergic or have had hypersensitivity reactions to this medication or its ingredients should not use it. Patients with eczema of the external ear with a perforated eardrum should be cautious as healing may be delayed when using this medication. It is advisable not to use this medication in patients with ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite as skin regeneration may be hindered, delaying healing. Patients with perioral dermatitis, common acne, rosacea, or non-inflammatory itching should avoid using this medication. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant and breastfeeding mothers should use this medication with caution, consulting a physician and using the minimum amount for the shortest duration necessary. Particularly in children under 2 years of age or the elderly, extra caution is required when using this medication, and continuous long-term use should be avoided. This medication may cause side effects such as skin infections, rashes, itching, and skin irritation, so it should be discontinued if symptoms appear. Long-term use may result in side effects such as skin thinning or vascular dilation, so if such symptoms occur, it is necessary to gradually reduce the dosage and switch to another medication. Using this medication with occlusive dressings can increase systemic absorption and may cause systemic side effects such as adrenal function suppression, thus regular monitoring is required. When used around the eyes, there is a risk of increased intraocular pressure or glaucoma, so caution is advised, and immediate consultation with a physician is required if symptoms like blurred vision occur. For dermatitis accompanied by skin infections, appropriate antimicrobial treatment should precede the use of this medication, and it should be discontinued immediately if infection spreads. The treatment duration for this medication is limited to within 7 days, and it should be discontinued as soon as symptoms improve. This medication is not known to affect the ability to drive or operate machinery, but caution should be taken in case abnormal reactions occur. Pregnant or breastfeeding mothers should consider the effects on the fetus or infant and should only use the minimum dosage and duration during treatment, avoiding application on the chest during breastfeeding. In children, side effects such as adrenal suppression may be more pronounced, so long-term continuous use should be avoided, and care should be taken in environments similar to occlusive dressings, such as with diapers. Elderly patients are at a higher risk for side effects, so careful observation and caution are required with high doses or long-term use. Excessive use may lead to systemic side effects, so it should be properly managed according to a physician's instructions. This medication is not for ophthalmic use and should not be used for purposes other than treatment after makeup or shaving. Occlusive dressings should only be used under medical supervision, and the application area should be kept clean to reduce the risk of infection. Facial skin is especially sensitive to this medication, so long-term use should be avoided, and it should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children.
