Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with inflammatory heat or those who are weak, experiencing fever, and lack energy. Additionally, this medication contains lactose, so individuals with genetic issues such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. In children who are in poor nutritional status or patients with phlegm-heat symptoms, this medication should be used with caution. The glycyrrhizin component included in this medication can lead to low blood potassium levels, increased blood pressure, and excessive accumulation of sodium and fluid in the body, resulting in side effects such as edema or weight gain if taken over a prolonged period. This medication should be stored in a cool place away from direct sunlight and moisture, and must be sealed after use. Furthermore, it should not be transferred to another container; it is important to keep it in the original container to prevent misuse and maintain quality. Patients with high blood pressure, older patients, those with heart or kidney issues, and patients with edema must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. If during administration, the urine output decreases, the face or extremities swell, eyelids become heavy, hands feel stiff, blood pressure rises, or headaches occur, immediately discontinue use and consult an expert. For long-term use, blood potassium levels must be regularly checked; if abnormalities occur, discontinue use. If symptoms such as muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis appear due to hypokalemia, stop taking it. Using potassium supplements or medications containing licorice, along with certain diuretics during the course of this medication may increase the risk of side effects, so it should be used carefully according to an expert's directions.
