This medicine should not be used for patients with inflammatory fevers. This medicine contains lactose, so individuals with lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or genetic issues such as glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Children with nutritional disorders or those showing symptoms of phlegm heat should use this medicine cautiously. Patients with high blood pressure, elderly individuals, those with heart or kidney problems, and those with edema must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. If there is diarrhea or loose stools, if the stomach is weak, if there are symptoms of decreased appetite, nausea, or vomiting, or if the person is very weak, it is important to consult an expert before taking this medicine. If symptoms such as reduced urine output, swelling of the face or limbs, heaviness of the eyelids, hand stiffness, increased blood pressure, or headaches appear during use, stop taking it immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. Because this medicine contains licorice, prolonged use may lead to side effects such as hypokalemia, increased blood pressure, edema, and weight gain, so potassium levels should be checked regularly. If symptoms like muscle weakness, limb cramps, or paralysis occur, stop taking it and consult an expert. If gastrointestinal symptoms such as decreased appetite, stomach discomfort, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, or diarrhea occur, stop taking it and consult a doctor. Be cautious as the risk of side effects may increase when taken with potassium supplements, other medications containing licorice, or certain diuretics. The diarrhea-inducing effect of rhubarb varies among individuals, so the prescribed dosage and frequency should be strictly followed. Long-term use of stimulant laxatives can lead to drug tolerance and worsening constipation, so it is advisable not to use for more than a week. Be careful of ingredient overlaps when using other herbal medicines, especially to avoid overlap with the rhubarb component. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant should not take this medicine, and breastfeeding women should also avoid it, as the rhubarb component can be passed through breast milk and cause diarrhea in infants. When taking this medicine, it is advisable to dissolve it in warm water and consume only the supernatant.
