Treatment of dermatophyte infections (tinea pedis, tinea corporis, etc.) and pityriasis versicolor, skin candidiasis
This medication treats skin fungal infections caused by dermatophytes such as Trichophyton, Microsporum canis, and Epidermophyton floccosum, including tinea pedis, tinea cruris, and tinea corporis. It is also effective against pityriasis versicolor caused by Pityrosporum orbiculare as well as skin candidiasis. In short, it is used to improve various skin fungal infections.
Apply to the affected area 1 to 2 times a day. 1. Tinea pedis: once daily for 1 week Interdigital tinea pedis: twice daily for 1 week Plantar tinea pedis: twice daily for 2 weeks 2. Tinea corporis, tinea cruris: 1 to 2 weeks 3. Skin candidiasis: 1 to 2 weeks 4. Pityriasis versicolor: 2 weeks
This medication should not be used by individuals who have had an allergic or hypersensitive reaction to this medication or its ingredients. It is also advisable for pregnant women, women who may become pregnant, and nursing mothers to avoid using this medication. Additionally, its use is not recommended for children. If a rash develops or an allergic reaction occurs while using this medication, discontinue use immediately and consult a doctor or pharmacist. It is crucial to seek professional help if the skin becomes severely irritated or if symptoms worsen. If hives, redness, pruritus, irritation, dermatitis, skin peeling, scabs, discoloration, stabbing pain, or burning sensation occur, stop using this medication and seek advice. It is advisable not to cover this medication with a sealed bandage or packaging method without a doctor’s instructions. If this medication is ineffective, it is suggested to get tested for fungal infection and consider other treatment options. In cases of suspected Candida infection, it is better to avoid using acidic soap. While this medication is minimally absorbed by intact skin, there is a risk of systemic side effects in areas of broken skin or larger areas, especially in infants, requiring caution. If ingested by mistake, activated charcoal should be used to remove the active ingredient, and symptomatic treatment may be necessary. This medication is for external use only and should not be applied to the eyes or mucous membranes. If it accidentally gets into the eyes, it should be thoroughly rinsed with water to prevent eye irritation or infection worsening. It is also safe to avoid application to nails, scalp, around the mouth, or genital areas. Reports of slight toxicity due to light exposure in animal studies indicate the need for caution when exposed to sunlight. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of the reach of children and kept sealed in its original container. Transferring to another container may pose risks of misuse or quality deterioration.
