How to apply

Adult use

Apply an appropriate amount to the affected area once or twice a day, adjusting as needed based on symptoms. Additionally, occlusive therapy may be carried out as needed.

Precautions

This medication should not be used in patients with skin infections caused by bacteria, fungi, viruses, or animals. Patients who have had an allergic reaction or hypersensitivity to this drug or its components should not use it. Patients with perforated tympanic membranes should avoid this medication, as it can delay wound healing and increase the risk of infection. It should also be avoided in cases of skin ulcers, severe burns, or frostbite, as skin regeneration may be delayed. It is preferable not to use this medication for perioral dermatitis, common acne, or rosacea. Women who are pregnant or may become pregnant, and women who are breastfeeding should use this medication with caution and for the minimum necessary duration. Children and the elderly should be cautious when using this medication due to an increased risk of side effects. Skin infections may occur during the use of this medication; if any signs of infection appear, use should be discontinued immediately, and appropriate treatment should be sought. Long-term use or use over large areas may cause side effects such as thinning of the skin or dilation of capillaries. Long-term use of this medication can lead to systemic side effects such as adrenal suppression, Cushing's syndrome, and increased blood sugar levels, so regular testing is required. Avoid using this medication around the eyes, as it may cause increased intraocular pressure, glaucoma, or cataracts. It is generally not used for eczema or dermatitis accompanied by skin infections; if necessary, it should be used with appropriate antibacterial or antifungal agents. Once symptoms improve, it is advisable to discontinue use as soon as possible; if symptoms worsen, usage should be stopped immediately. Pregnant and breastfeeding women have not fully established the safety of this medication, so it should only be used minimally when necessary, especially during breastfeeding. Children have a higher risk of side effects due to their lower body weight to surface area ratio, so greater caution is needed during use, especially with diaper use, which can enhance side effects due to occlusion. Elderly patients have decreased bodily functions, making them more susceptible to side effects, so careful monitoring is necessary during use. This medication is not to be used for ophthalmic purposes and should not be used for cosmetic purposes or after shaving. Occlusive therapy must be used only under the guidance of a physician, and the affected area should be cleaned before use to minimize the risk of infection. Keep out of reach of children, and long-term heavy use by psoriasis patients may lead to psoriatic erythroderma or pustular psoriasis.
