Relief of inflammation and pain in conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis
This medication is used for inflammatory joint diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, osteoarthritis (degenerative arthritis), and periscapular inflammation around the shoulder joint. It is also effective for relief of various pains including toothache, post-traumatic inflammation, back pain, and sciatica. It helps alleviate pain from non-articular rheumatism. This medicine is used to reduce inflammation and pain, thereby enhancing the quality of life for patients.
As Aceclofenac, take 100 mg twice a day at 12-hour intervals. This medication should be taken whole without chewing or crushing. Adjust the dosage appropriately based on symptoms. To minimize the risk of cardiovascular adverse reactions, it should be given at the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.
This medication should be discussed with a doctor or pharmacist if the patient regularly consumes more than three glasses of alcohol daily due to the risk of gastric bleeding. This medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, so patients with risk factors for cardiovascular diseases should carefully consider whether to take it. Long-term or high-dose use of this medication may increase the risk of cardiovascular disease, so it should be taken for the shortest duration at the minimum effective dose. This medication can cause serious gastrointestinal adverse reactions such as gastric bleeding, ulcers, or perforation, especially in elderly patients or those with a history of gastrointestinal diseases. Patients with active peptic ulcers or a history of bleeding, those who are hypersensitive to this medication or similar drugs, and those with severe heart failure should not take this medication. Patients with kidney impairment, heart failure, hypertension, or elderly patients should be closely monitored and consult healthcare providers when taking this medication. Unusual symptoms such as dizziness, liver function abnormalities, skin rashes, and gastrointestinal disturbances may occur while taking this medication. If such symptoms arise, the patient should immediately inform healthcare professionals. This medication may interact with other drugs, so patients taking anticoagulants, diuretics, lithium, or antibiotics should consult a doctor. During pregnancy, especially in late pregnancy or breastfeeding, it is safer to avoid this medication, and caution is needed for women planning to become pregnant. Safety and efficacy in children and adolescents have not been established, and this medication is not recommended for them. Elderly patients have a higher risk of adverse effects such as gastrointestinal bleeding and perforation, so special care must be taken when administering this medication. In cases of overdose, symptoms such as gastrointestinal irritation, hypotension, respiratory depression, and seizures may occur, so immediate contact with medical institutions for appropriate treatment is necessary. This medication should be kept out of reach of children, and care should be taken not to transfer it to other containers as it could adversely affect the quality.
