Precautions

This drug is a beta-lactam antibiotic and should not be administered to patients with a history of hypersensitivity to penicillin antibiotics. Special caution should be exercised in cases of severe allergic reactions such as anaphylaxis, Stevens-Johnson syndrome, and shock. It is advisable to avoid use in patients with viral infections accompanied by infectious mononucleosis or lymphocytic leukemia, as there may be an increased risk of rash. Patients with a history of liver dysfunction should also be cautious, as there may be a recurrence of liver function impairment. Patients with liver disorders should be administered with care, as liver function may deteriorate, and those with moderate to severe renal impairment may require adjusted dosing intervals due to increased drug concentrations. Patients with allergic diseases or symptoms such as bronchial asthma or urticaria may also experience adverse reactions, so caution is necessary. Patients with severe gastrointestinal disorders such as vomiting or diarrhea should be careful as the drug may not be absorbed properly. If symptoms such as diarrhea, abdominal pain, or blood in stool occur while taking this drug, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician. Serious side effects such as liver dysfunction, skin rash, anaphylactic shock, and blood disorders can rarely occur, so it is essential to inform health care professionals immediately if abnormal symptoms arise. When taken for an extended period, there is a risk of antibiotic resistance and opportunistic infections, so it is important to take it for the minimum necessary duration. It is advisable not to administer during the first trimester of pregnancy, and caution is required during breastfeeding as it may cause diarrhea or skin rashes in the infant. Elderly patients have a higher risk of adverse reactions due to decreased kidney and liver functions, so careful dosage adjustment is needed. There may be interactions with other drugs, so it is important to inform health care professionals about any medications currently being taken, especially when using anticoagulants or certain antibiotics together. Overdosage may result in gastrointestinal symptoms, renal failure, or seizures, so if suspected, visit the hospital immediately. This drug should be stored in a dry place at temperatures below 25 degrees Celsius and used under the direction of a physician according to clinical need.
