How to take

Adult dose

As L-Cystine, take 1,000 to 2,000 mg daily for 10 to 20 days during a month.

Precautions

This medication should not be taken by patients with severe renal dysfunction or in a hepatic coma state. Children under 6 years old should also not take this medication. Patients with a specific disease called cystinuria should not use this medication. Individuals with allergies to soybean oil or have exhibited hypersensitivity should not take this medication. It is also safe for individuals allergic to soybeans or peanuts to refrain from taking this medication. If you have experienced an allergic reaction to this medication or any of its components, you must consult with a doctor or pharmacist before taking it. Patients with kidney stones should consult with a specialist before taking this medication. Patients with lipid metabolism issues such as hyperlipidemia, diabetic dyslipidemia, or pancreatitis should use this medication cautiously and consult a specialist. This medication contains a pigment called Tartrazine (Yellow No. 4), so individuals allergic to this substance should be careful before taking it. Additionally, it also contains Sunset Yellow FCF (Yellow No. 5), for which individuals with hypersensitivity should consult a specialist. If symptoms do not improve after taking this medication for approximately one month, you should immediately discontinue use and consult a doctor. During treatment, symptoms such as nausea, diarrhea, dry mouth, and mild abdominal pain may occur, and you should consult a specialist if these symptoms appear. Adhere strictly to the prescribed dosage and use, and when giving it to children, caregivers should provide proper guidance and supervision. Patients with lipid metabolism issues or at risk of lipid overload should regularly check plasma lipid levels during use of this medication. If the plasma lipid test indicates inadequate fat excretion, it may be necessary to adjust the dosage of this medication. Furthermore, when using other intravenous lipid preparations, the lipid amount in this medication should be considered to reduce the dosing of other lipid formulations accordingly. This medication should be stored in a safe place out of reach of children, kept away from direct sunlight, and stored in a cool, dry place with the lid tightly closed. For quality protection and to prevent misuse, it is advisable not to transfer it to other containers.
