Relief of spasmodic gastrointestinal disorders (stomach and duodenum ulcers, gastritis) and colitis spasms
This medication is used for gastrointestinal disorders such as relieving spasms and for gastric and duodenal ulcers, gastritis, colitis, diverticulitis, and spastic constipation.
As Dicyclomine hydrochloride, take 10 to 20 mg once, 3 to 4 times daily.
This medication is contraindicated for individuals with certain diseases. Individuals with serious health issues such as glaucoma, prostate hypertrophy, heart disease, obstructive uropathy, gastrointestinal obstruction, paralytic ileus, and intestinal atony should not take this medication. Additionally, individuals in acute hemorrhage, those who have had allergic reactions to this medication, infants under 6 months, nursing mothers, as well as patients with myasthenia gravis, ulcerative colitis, megacolon, and gastroesophageal reflux disease should exercise caution. This medication contains lactose, so patients with lactose intolerance or related genetic issues should not take it. Nursing should be avoided during treatment, as this medication can be transmitted through breast milk. Individuals with certain diseases should consult with a physician or pharmacist before taking this medication. This includes those with autonomic neuropathy, liver or kidney disease, hypertension, hyperthyroidism, prostate hypertrophy, heart dysfunction, individuals in a hot environment, and patients with ulcerative colitis. Elderly patients should be cautious, as side effects such as dry mouth, urination difficulties, constipation, and increased eye pressure may occur more readily. Pregnant women or those who may become pregnant should consult a physician before taking this medication as its safety has not been established. Caution is also required in children as safety has not been established. Patients with allergies to coloring agents contained in this medication should consult a specialist before taking it. If symptoms such as blurred vision, pupil dilation, headache, dizziness, drowsiness, fainting, difficulty breathing, nasal congestion, dry mouth, constipation, diarrhea, nausea, vomiting, abdominal pain, palpitations, arrhythmias, facial or vascular swelling, rash, itching, urination difficulties, lethargy, or weakness occur during treatment, discontinue use immediately and consult a physician or pharmacist. Additionally, caution is needed when taking this medication in combination with certain other drugs as anticholinergic effects may be enhanced. During treatment, drowsiness or visual disturbances may occur, and it is advisable not to drive or operate dangerous machinery.

This medication should be used with caution when taken in combination with phenothiazine drugs, tricyclic antidepressants, MAO inhibitors, narcotic analgesics, antiarrhythmic agents, and benzodiazepines, and should be discussed with a physician or pharmacist.
This medication should be stored in a tightly sealed container to prevent exposure to air or moisture. This way, the medication's effectiveness can be maintained for a longer period.
