Adult dose

Typically, an adult should take 4 grams three times daily before meals or between meals.

Infants under 1 year of age should not take this medication. Additionally, because it contains lactose, patients with genetic conditions such as galactose intolerance, Lapp lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption should not take it. Patients with hypertension, heart disorders, kidney disorders, edema, or urinary disorders should consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medication. Caution is also advised for individuals with weak stomachs or symptoms such as loss of appetite, nausea, or vomiting. Patients in a post-illness weakened state, those who sweat excessively, those with hyperthyroidism, or diabetes should also consult a professional before taking this medication. Individuals who have previously experienced rashes or itching due to medications should exercise caution, and those currently undergoing other treatments or who are pregnant or may become pregnant should consult prior to use. Children and the elderly require special caution as safety has not been established, and dosage adjustments may be necessary for the elderly. If symptoms such as swelling of the face or hands and feet, elevated blood pressure, weakness, or muscle abnormalities like limb spasms occur while taking this medication, discontinue immediately and consult a professional. If abnormal symptoms such as liver dysfunction, jaundice, skin rashes, insomnia, excessive sweating, rapid heartbeat, nausea, vomiting, or urinary disorders appear, stop taking the medication and consult a doctor. The specified dosage and administration must be strictly followed, and long-term use should be discussed with a professional. Supervision by a guardian is necessary when administering to children. In addition, caution should be exercised as side effects may occur when taken with medications containing ephedra or ephedrine, thyroid preparations, or certain diuretics.
