Adult dose

The usual adult dose is 5.0 grams taken three times a day before meals or between meals.

This medicine should not be taken by individuals with heart disease or those who have a history of heart disease. Additionally, it should not be taken by infants under 1 year old or individuals with genetic issues such as lactose intolerance, lactase deficiency, or glucose-galactose malabsorption. Individuals with hypertension, kidney disease, or edema must consult a doctor or pharmacist before taking this medicine. It is important for those taking other medications, pregnant women or women who may become pregnant, children, and elderly individuals to consult a specialist before taking this medicine. If any unusual symptoms occur while taking this medicine, it should be discontinued immediately and a specialist consulted. Particularly, prompt consultation is required if symptoms such as reduced urine output, facial and peripheral edema, increased blood pressure, headaches, muscle weakness, spasms, heart problems, and jaundice occur. This medicine must be taken according to the prescribed dosage and frequency, and it is advisable to take it only when symptoms are present and not to use it for extended periods. When children take this medicine, parental guidance and supervision are necessary. Also, caution is needed when taken with potassium-containing medications or medications that include licorice extract, as side effects can occur. Serious side effects

Facial and limb edema, heavy eyelids, congestive heart failure, ventricular tachycardia, jaundice due to liver dysfunction (yellowing of skin or the whites of the eyes), and symptoms of aldosteronism (reduced urine volume, edema, increased blood pressure, weight gain)
