My elementary school-aged son has already been treated nearly 10 times for a wart on his toe, but I can’t see any end in sight or tell when it will finally get better. Because wart treatment is considered a general cosmetic procedure, third-generation indemnity insurance doesn’t cover it, so I’ve had to keep paying the full treatment cost. We alternate between a male doctor and a female doctor. The male doctor is fairly kind when explaining things, but the female doctor doesn’t explain much and has a high-handed attitude. She also keeps telling me to leave while my child is being treated, so honestly, I feel frustrated. There are hardly any dermatology clinics nearby that offer cryotherapy for warts—most of them only provide cosmetic treatments—so we’re going there for now... But honestly, it’s frustrating because there hasn’t been any improvement....

I took my 4th grade son to see Dr. Ko Gwang-jin because he developed a wart under his toe. Originally, I thought it was a callus and went to a pediatrician, but after getting a recommendation for cryotherapy for the wart, I ended up visiting Mimoa Dermatology near Migeum Station. It's hard to find dermatologists these days, as most clinics focus on cosmetic procedures, so this clinic is a rare gem in the neighborhood. Dr. Ko kindly explained everything to my son and addressed all his questions, making the visit very satisfying. The cryotherapy for the wart doesn't end in one session; I was told that we need to come back about 3 to 5 times at one-week intervals. I'm very happy with the treatment at the clinic, but it's a bit disappointing that my child's insurance, which is a third-generation plan, doesn't cover wart treatments, so I'll have to pay out of pocket.
