I was worried about my immune system and everyone around me kept saying that I needed to get the shingles vaccine ahead of time, so I visited a family medicine clinic that is known for being kind. I’m really scared of needles, so I was super nervous even before going into the exam room, but the doctor saw my expression and asked me with a smile if I was really scared, which calmed me down a bit. Not only did he just give me the shot, but he also took the time to ask about my usual condition and whether it was okay to get the shot today. I could really feel that he cared for his patients, which made me trust him. When I was getting the shot, I flinched because I was scared, but the nurse was right by my side, gently comforting me and telling me it would be over soon. Surprisingly, it finished so quickly that I barely felt the pinch, and I felt a bit embarrassed for worrying so much but was really grateful. After the vaccination, he patiently explained every potential side effect and what to watch out for in a way that was easy to understand, and he advised me to take it easy and rest since I might feel some flu-like symptoms. He was so kind, and I thought to myself that I would definitely come back here for my next vaccination.
