Choosing a dental clinic requires a lot of careful consideration. Unlike other specialties where you can switch clinics if you're not satisfied after one visit, once you start treatment at a dental clinic, you're usually in for the long haul. This is especially true for procedures like implants or crowns. In other fields, the difference in consultation fees isn't that significant, but in dentistry, the price can vary greatly depending on what materials are used, and even the same materials can vary in price from one clinic to another. So, when it comes to dental care, I tend to visit several places and ask around. The dental clinic I go to in Nowon, UDI Dental, has been my go-to place for over 10 years. I chose it because it's a mid-range option, neither too expensive nor too cheap for implants. I've had multiple implants done there and I'm happy with how they're functioning, but I haven't been pleased with the recent treatments. Changing clinics is also a tough decision. Since I'm still undergoing treatment, I guess I'll have to wait and see how things turn out.

I had inflammation in the root of a denture last time, so I needed a root canal treatment. Since I couldn't remove the denture and perform the treatment after having already fitted the teeth, they had to inject anesthesia into my gums while the denture was still in place. Then, they made a small hole inside the denture to perform the root canal. I was nervous about the whole process of making a hole in the denture to do the root canal, but the only part that stung was when they gave me two anesthesia shots. There was no pain at all during the root canal after they made the hole. I need to undergo a total of three treatments, so I still have two more to go. They told me to come once a week. Although the doctor didn't say anything, I guess I'll have to refrain from drinking alcohol while I'm getting the root canal treatment.
