My meibomian glands were blocked, causing my tears to evaporate quickly. I received heat treatment and a prescription for medication and procedures. There wasn't a dramatic change immediately after the treatment, but after using the prescribed eye drops regularly and doing warm compresses for about a week, it definitely became easier to open my eyes in the morning.
