This is my review of the Today LASIK I had at Gangnam Brand Eye Clinic. I'm 200% satisfied! I was hesitant because I was worried about pain and recovery time, but the recovery was definitely quicker compared to regular LASIK. Still, I recommend taking a break for at least 5 days to a week. Now, I'm experiencing a truly clear new world without any blurriness. The pain is a bit more than LASIK, but if you can endure it for just 1-2 weeks, it really changes your quality of life. Gangnam Brand Eye Clinic has great facilities, and they send automatic reminders for regular check-ups, so I never forget my appointment dates. I hope my review helps those considering escaping from glasses!

Actually, I went to get LASIK. I thought it would be cheaper. After my exam, they told me that I was eligible for SMILE as well. At first, I was still hesitating because of the cost difference, but I ended up deciding on SMILE. My recovery was much faster than I expected, and the results are great. Honestly, even though it cost more, I have no regrets at all.

*I went in for smile LASIK after seeing an ad, but after the eye exam, we decided to go with LASEK. I’m really grateful to the staff who conducted the exam and provided counseling; they were so kind. I was worried because I had heard that LASEK could be painful, but thankfully, after the first-day pain, I had no pain after that. My eyes were tearing up until the second day, but overall, it went well.

I have been alternating between glasses and contact lenses for a long time, but the discomfort in my daily life has gradually increased. In particular, wearing lenses for extended periods makes my eyes feel dry and red frequently, leading me to seriously consider vision correction surgery. While comparing various ophthalmology clinics, I noticed that Gangnam Central Eye Clinic specializes in SMILE surgery, which prompted me to schedule a consultation. After my visit, I underwent a thorough examination to check my vision and corneal thickness, and as a result, I was diagnosed as a suitable candidate for SMILE surgery. The consultation was personally conducted by Director Park Gye-hyeon, who explained the differences between LASIK, LASEK, and SMILE in a way that was easy to understand, tailored to my lifestyle. Rather than pushing for surgery, he focused on guiding me towards the method that best suited my eye condition, which built my trust in him. The explanation of the treatment process was systematic. I was informed that the surgery time would be around 10 minutes for both eyes, and due to the minimally invasive approach, there would be less pain involved. After the surgery, I might experience slight discomfort, but I was told that the recovery is relatively quick and daily activities could resume soon. The precautions and care methods before and after the surgery were also detailed, helping me prepare adequately. The interior of the clinic was generally clean and had a stable atmosphere, with well-separated examination and waiting areas for convenient movement. The staff were composed and friendly, which made me feel at ease even though it was my first visit. Located in the heart of Gangnam, the clinic is easily accessible by both subway and bus, making it convenient to reach. After finishing the consultation, my vague fears about vision correction significantly diminished. A considerable amount of time has passed since the surgery, but I have experienced no side effects such as dryness or vision deterioration, and I am stable and comfortable in my daily life.

I went there on the recommendation of friends. I got examined at Onnuri Smile Eye Center for Smile LASIK and also received retinal laser treatment. They are professional and kind. It's conveniently connected to Gangnam Station, and even though it's underground, the atmosphere is nice. The optometrists are extremely friendly, professional, and gentle. There’s a very famous doctor for Smile LASIK, Dr. Kim Bug-ki, so I think I’ll probably have my Smile LASIK surgery with him. The examination for LASIK took about an hour, and they were very thorough, which was great since it was free. During that process, I found out that I needed retinal laser treatment, so I ended up having the procedure that same day, which felt reliable and good. I think it’s probably the most famous hospital for LASIK, LASEK, and Smile LASIK in the Gangnam area, which gave me the confidence to decide to go ahead with the surgery. There were a lot of people, but the treatment process and guidance were smooth, and they explained everything in detail one-on-one before the procedure, which made me feel at ease and trusted their expertise.

I called while looking for a hospital for LASIK surgery, and they explained everything kindly and calmly. They told me that they don’t perform LASIK surgery and only offer LASEK and ICL Surgery, and they gave me detailed information about the costs and how to come in for a consultation. Even though it was a phone consultation, they provided all the information I needed, so I’m planning to visit next week for an examination. Thank you for the kind and accurate consultation.

I took my two kids for vision correction surgery and we had the exams done and the procedures done. I was looking for a place close to home and chose a well-known eye clinic in the Gangbuk area. One child could have any type of surgery, so we went with Smile LASIK, while the other had a LASEK procedure. The clinic is so well-organized with a solid system and manual that I felt really comfortable going through with the surgeries. Now that it’s been almost a month for both, I can say that the Smile LASIK patient had their vision recover to 1.2 the very next day, and they were able to carry on with daily life without much pain. For the LASEK, the third day was the most painful, but after that, it gradually improved, and in the third week, their vision test showed 1.2/0.9. I expect it to get even better! They also did a great job managing post-surgery care, so I trust that you can have your surgery here without needing to go all the way to Gangnam. ^^

I went for a check-up because of dry eyes, and when he prescribed medication, he kindly asked if there were any medications I usually use. He also explained that people who have had LASIK or LASEK surgery might have slightly higher eye pressure. I think I’ll consider going back for a check-up related to eye pressure next time.

Lately, I feel like my eyesight has gotten a lot worse, so I was thinking about looking into LASEK. I got recommendations from people around me for some decent clinics in Gangnam, but none of them really suited me in terms of cost or distance, so I wondered if I should just give up... Then I ended up visiting Seoul Shinsegae Eye Clinic lol. I didn’t even know there were eye clinics this big. The examination process was incredibly systematic, and I was surprised by how many different testing machines they had haha. I was eligible for both SMILE LASIK and LASEK, and I ended up choosing LASEK because it was more affordable for me! It didn’t hurt that much on the day of the procedure, but as time passed, my eyes did feel pretty sensitive and stingy lol. Still, I already feel like I can see clearly.. ! I’m super excited.

At first, I just went to get smile LASIK, but they said I couldn't because of my corneal thickness... I was recommended lens implantation, but I was a bit anxious about having something put in my eye at first. I kept whining about whether I could just do LASIK instead, but they firmly said no... However, the doctor explained everything really well. He showed me the results from the AI program and explained why this was the right option for me. Once I understood, I felt reassured, and after some consideration, I decided to go through with it, and now I feel like I shouldn't have hesitated at all haha. If I had gone for LASIK, I would still be in pain and seeing things like a blind person; But from the day after the surgery, I could see clearly, and it feels amazing.

Since I've had concerns about glaucoma for a while, I began visiting some well-known eye clinics in Jungnang-gu, and eventually made my way to Pacific Eye Clinic. It's located near Sangbong Station in Jungnang-gu, and since the clinic is relatively new, the building is large and the equipment is state-of-the-art. Overall, I think it's a good place for residents of Jungnang-gu to visit. There are plenty of restaurants nearby for meals, and parking is available. So, I was able to make good use of the surrounding facilities while visiting the clinic. They also mentioned that they specialize in LASIK and LASEK, so I’m considering coming back here for a LASIK consultation in the future. If you live in Sangbong-dong or Myeonmok-dong and have any eye issues, I recommend visiting Pacific Eye Clinic.

I found this place while looking for reviews on lens implantation surgery and decided to visit. As mentioned in the reviews, they conducted a really thorough examination that took a long time. After everything, based on the AI program results, they recommended a surgery method and explained why it was the right choice, which made sense to me. The examination was actually a huge help in making my decision, even more than just reading the reviews. If you're considering lens implantation or LASIK, definitely get an examination first!

It's been 15 years since I had LASIK, but my eyesight recently deteriorated, so I made an appointment for a consultation about a reoperation after a comprehensive eye exam. Changing my appointment was easy, and they gave me a reminder call before the visit, which helped me not forget. I saw foreign patients coming in for LASIK and LASEK as well. There were a lot of patients, but I didn't have to wait long and they conducted the overall eye examination promptly. During the eye exam, I heard about some findings related to my retina, and I was able to have the laser treatment done the same day without any hassle. I'm glad I had the chance to catch my eye issues early. They kindly explained the possibility of reoperation and I received all the necessary paperwork without any problems.

S Eye Clinic in Jungang-dong, Ansan, is a large ophthalmology clinic specializing in surgery—there probably isn’t anyone in Ansan who hasn’t heard of it. After moving to Ansan, I started going to S Eye Clinic. Ever since my child was born, I’ve been visiting two or three times a year to keep track of our eye health, from my child’s vision tests to treatment for my dry eyes (it’s been 20 years since I had LASIK, so my dry eyes are pretty severe). Since my child was in second grade, when their eyesight started getting worse, we’ve visited S Eye Clinic every winter and summer vacation to have their vision checked and get a new glasses prescription. There are many patients coming in for surgeries such as LASIK, LASEK, lens implantation, cataract surgery, and glaucoma surgery, so you might expect the wait to be long, but thanks to their well-organized system, it’s not as long as you’d think. There’s also a pharmacy and an optical shop on the same floor, so you can get your prescription filled and have your glasses made in one stop. I feel reassured knowing there’s such a good eye clinic nearby.

I went in for a consultation the day before, then paid and had the surgery the very next day. I originally wasn’t going to do it if it turned out to be LASEK, but they said LASIK was possible, so I just went ahead with the surgery right away. I also had astigmatism correction done, and I chose the most expensive LASIK option. Since it was my eyes, I didn’t want to try to save money. But on the day of the surgery, the process took longer than I expected, from the medical questionnaire to all the tests. I think I was there for almost five or six hours. Also, they give you a USB drive at the hospital, and you carry it around while the tests and questionnaire process move along smoothly. I’d never seen anything done that way before, so it was pretty interesting. The surgery itself was over within 10 minutes, and I could see clearly right away, which honestly surprised me. I rested for about two days, and from the day after that, I was pretty much walking around normally. It’s also easy to get to since it’s right in the middle of Gangnam-daero. After having it done, I wondered why I hadn’t done it sooner.

My eyes hurt and were swollen, like I had bruises, so I visited the Blue Eye Clinic in Jeonju. I heard they were famous for LASIK and LASEK. I was worried about the long wait time and thought it would be crowded, so I came in early for my appointment, but as expected, there were quite a few people waiting before they started at 9:00. After checking in, I had some basic tests in the examination room, like an eye pressure test, and then I saw Dr. Yoon. Since there are many doctors there, I guess the patients were spread out because the wait wasn't as bad as I thought. The doctor took a good look at my eyes and explained everything in a really friendly manner, being very thorough. I think I'll need to monitor my eyes while using the eye drops they prescribed. The nurses were friendly too. Highly recommend!!

I had a LASIK surgery after getting a precise examination at Kim Eye Hospital through a friend's recommendation. It's a well-established hospital that many patients have chosen for a long time, which gave me a lot of confidence in my decision to go ahead with the surgery. The examination was very thorough, and the medical staff explained my eye condition, the surgery process, and the recovery period in detail, so I felt reassured about having the surgery. After the surgery, I felt a stinging and chilly sensation for about 4 days, but since I had been informed about the recovery process in advance, I wasn't overly worried. I made sure to use the prescribed eye drops consistently and wore sunglasses when going outside to block UV rays as much as possible. As time went on, the discomfort gradually decreased, and I could feel my vision becoming clearer. The hospital staff was also very friendly, and everything from the appointment to the examination, surgery, and aftercare was organized and satisfying. This hospital, with its long experience and know-how, is one I would confidently recommend to anyone considering vision correction surgery.

I made a big decision to get LASEK to get rid of the discomfort of glasses and lenses. The surgery itself was quick, lasting about 10 minutes, and there was no pain, but the real challenge came a couple of days later. My eyes watered so much that it was hard to open them, and I felt like I had sand in my eyes. I became sensitive to light and remember enduring it while closing the blackout curtains and just listening to the radio. But when the painful time passed and I removed the protective lenses, I felt the world becoming clearer little by little. The recovery is slower than LASIK, but the fact that it only removes the upper layers of the cornea makes me feel secure because it's stronger against external shocks and more stable. Now that a month has passed, waking up in the morning and seeing the clock hands clearly is truly a **'new world'**. There's some hassle with needing to use artificial tears regularly, but compared to the freedom of being without glasses, it's nothing at all. If you're contemplating it, I highly recommend finding your brightness as soon as possible.

  • Should I undergo LASIK or LASEK, and how much will it cost?

Hello. We apologize for the delay in our response. First, LASIK and LASEK are different surgical methods. LASIK is a procedure suitable for patients with a thick cornea and has a faster recovery, whereas LASEK can generally be performed for most patients. A decision should be made based on the results of your examination. The cost for LASEK is 690,000 KRW, and for LASIK, it is 1,290,000 KRW. Thank you.
