Kate Clinic · Under-eye hollows and nasolabial folds ultra collagen
Nasolabial fold filler, noble surgery, review of choosing UltraColl instead of Sculptra!
- First of all, I don’t think I need noble surgery, but my nasolabial folds are quite deep for someone in their 20s, so this is for people like me.
I specifically had deep nasolabial folds next to my nose.
- Filler: I tried nasolabial fold filler once before... After getting it, I realized that we use that area a lot... Is there anyone who doesn't use their mouth even for a day? If there is, it might be okay to get it...
When we smile, the filler tends to move upwards from the deep nasolabial folds, making the area above the fold bulge more, which makes the folds appear deeper...
- Noble surgery: It costs a bit, but it’s actually the most reliable way to fix nasolabial folds, so I can’t skip this! This method involves inserting a silicone-like implant into the indented area next to the nose to elevate the midface and resolve the nasolabial folds!! But there’s a well-known side effect: lengthening of the philtrum... I didn’t want my already short philtrum to get any longer, and since it requires a significant surgery with incisions, it was a bit daunting for me.
- Belotero/Sculptra: Because of this, I researched Sculptra! Its effect is similar to UltraColl!! It induces collagen regeneration to create volume, but if the procedure isn't done correctly, it can cause lumps... Just searching for Sculptra on Naver shows a lot of side effect photos... They say to remove any lumps, an incision is needed, and looking at those photos made me feel like I just couldn’t go through with it.
- UltraColl: After searching a lot, I found this, but there aren’t many reviews, making it a somewhat risky procedure. So I searched high and low for reviews before trying this.
It fills the sunken areas with my own collagen, but there are two important points:
1. It has to be injected precisely into the subdermal layer.
2. Repeated treatments are necessary.
The key is to correctly inject it into the subdermal layer, not the dermis, because when we receive skin booster treatments like Rejuran Healer or exosomes, precise injections into the dermis are essential.
The dermis has a strong tendency to retain foreign substances, so injecting a skin booster can yield good effects, but on the other hand, injecting agents that stimulate collagen generation can create palpable lumps in that area. Therefore, it’s essential to inject it deeply into the fat layer to ensure collagen fills the dermis!
Thus, I don't recommend getting just one treatment. Of course, it won't be completely ineffective, but to achieve a plump result, I recommend three sessions!
This treatment is effective for areas like nasolabial folds or sunken under-eyes but won’t be effective for wrinkles caused by sagging skin... That’s because the skin's structure is weakened, so I recommend combining it with treatments like Shurink or Ultherapy!!
Anyway, those are my thoughts after receiving three sessions! At first, I doubted the effectiveness after the first session as it seemed to disappear within just a week, but I remembered the doctor said real results appear after the third session, so I persevered.
After the second session, I thought, "Oh? Is it lasting longer?", but again, it disappeared before even a month... Also, it didn’t swell up as much as during the first session!
After the third session, I wondered if it would disappear again, but it didn’t!!! Hahaha, I feel really good! It’s been a month since I received it, and I’m still maintaining that voluminous state I had right after!
Oh, and inexplicably, my skin texture has improved! Maybe it’s because collagen is being generated? It turns out it’s not just effective for volume! It hardly swelled, and the pain was almost non-existent compared to the first session (am I just used to it??)
In any case, for those struggling with nasolabial folds!! Do you see my before-and-after photos? The nasolabial folds look flattened as if edited!
Maybe it’s because the doctor designed it very carefully before the procedure, but I was worried it might become uneven?? There was absolutely none of that.
Moreover, the best part is that I look much brighter and softer, and there are fewer shadows on my face when taking pictures, making me look much better! Hehe, I received a total of three treatments of 3cc on each side at one-month intervals, but for those with even deeper folds than me, consult at the clinic to see how much cc you should receive!
If I undergo any other treatments, I will share again!! Bye ❤
